Billing Lite

Centralize billing without changing how you invoice.

Billing today is spread across spreadsheets, the WMS, and an accounting tool that doesn't quite agree. Billing Lite centralizes invoice creation, standardizes charge types, and syncs cleanly with QuickBooks — without forcing you to change how you invoice today.

How invoices flow.

Step 1 of 4

Pick a creation mode

Bulk CSV upload (with reusable column mapping for repeat customers), manual entry for adjustments and one-off charges, or WMS sync where supported. Use one or all three.

Step 2 of 4

Charge Types do the heavy lifting

Standardize services once — Shipment Fees, Storage, Pick & Pack, Kitting, Ad Hoc — and map each to QuickBooks. Every invoice line uses the right Product/Service automatically.

Step 3 of 4

Approve before you finalize

Draft → Needs Approval → Approved. Once approved, the invoice locks against accidental edits — and when something needs to change, you correct it by editing the invoice, not by voiding and starting over.

Step 4 of 4

Get paid

Apply directly to the customer's meter, generate a one-time payment link, or both. Prepaid recharges sync to QuickBooks as Sales Receipts so the math stays clean.

What's in the box.

  • Invoice creation modes Bulk CSV with reusable column mapping, manual entry, or WMS sync. Mix and match per workflow.
  • Charge Types Standardize how services represent across invoices. Map once to QuickBooks Products/Services.
  • Approval workflow Draft → Needs Approval → Approved. Once approved, invoices lock against accidental edits — corrections are made by editing, not a void-and-recreate.
  • QuickBooks integration Invoices push to QBO with Charge Type mapping. Recharge payments sync as Sales Receipts automatically.
  • Apply to the meter Invoice can offset the customer balance directly. Aligns with the prepaid model — no separate payment hop.
  • Notifications Invoice updates and payment failures — real-time or daily digest, your call.

Frequently asked questions

What does "Billing Lite" mean — is this the full billing engine?

Billing Lite is the live, shipping release: centralized invoice creation and management, standardized charge types, a customer financial portal, and QuickBooks sync. It's built to consolidate billing into RocketFuel without forcing you to change how you invoice today. We're continuing to deepen the automation from there — but everything described on this page is available now, not promised for later.

How are invoices created?

Three ways: bulk CSV upload with reusable column mapping, manual creation directly in RocketFuel for adjustments and one-off charges, or WMS sync where the integration supports it. Mix and match depending on your workflow.

How does QuickBooks sync work?

Each Charge Type maps once to a QuickBooks Product/Service ID. Invoices push from RocketFuel to QuickBooks Online with that mapping applied. Recharge payments from the meter sync as Sales Receipts so prepaid activity reconciles cleanly against invoices.

Stop reconciling billing across three systems.

Most 3PLs run billing across a WMS, a spreadsheet, and an accounting tool — three sources of truth that disagree at month-end. Customer questions take a finance person an afternoon to answer. RocketFuel consolidates billing into one place without replacing what already works.
